Wrenford's Kingfisher Outdoor Pool and splash pad reopen for the 2024 season on Saturday, June 22, weather permitting. Located at 15 Kingfisher Court, the facility is ready to welcome you for laps, leisure swims, and splash pad fun from late June through Labour Day.
The pool will be open daily from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The splash pad features nature-themed spray toys, a large dump bucket, and misting arches. Lounge chairs are available on the pool deck, and a designated picnic area sits just outside the fence. You can bring a blanket or a cooler to enjoy a summer lunch nearby.
Swim lessons are running all season through the Swim for Life program. Classes cover every age and skill level, from parent-and-tot groups to advanced teen and adult strokes. Registration is open now at Wrenford Recreation Online, and drop-in spots are available for beginner lessons. You can also book family swim times when the pool is less crowded.
"Outdoor pools have something for everyone in our community," said Fiona Gallagher, GM Community Services. "We are excited to bring back the splash pad, family swim times, and all the swim lessons this summer. It is a great place to stay active and cool off together."
You should bring your own towels and sunscreen. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult in the water. For the full drop-in schedule and fee details, check the Facility information and hours page. You can also explore other seasonal programming and summer events on the Programs and Arts & Heritage pages.
