Harvest on Mercer festival uses park spaces for vendor tents

The City of Wrenford is pleased to announce that the upcoming Harvest on Mercer festival will use several downtown park spaces for vendor tents and community activities. The event takes place over the upcoming weekend along Mercer Street and the adjacent parkways. You are encouraged to explore the local vendors, enjoy live music, and celebrate the harvest season.

Vendor tents will be set up in Centennial Gardens and Riverside Flats Park. The Parks & Trails team has coordinated with the Downtown BIA to ensure safe access for you and other residents. All park pathways and playgrounds will remain open, and clear signage will guide you around the tent areas.

You are asked to plan your journeys and expect delays when driving in the downtown area. Parking will be temporarily unavailable on Water Street and Market Square during setup and the event. The City asks that you consider leaving your vehicle at home while this work is underway. Using public transit, walking, biking, or rolling will be the best options to get to and around the downtown area during the festival.

For those biking to the festival, the Tamsin River Trail System remains open throughout the event. The Downtown Transit Terminal will have extended hours on Saturday to accommodate increased ridership. Please be mindful of other lane users and observe all temporary signage in the area.

"Using our parks for the festival brings the community together in a familiar, welcoming space," says Mayor Danielle Okafor-Price. "We have worked closely with the Parks & Trails team to ensure everything is set up safely and that the green spaces are protected for future use."
