Fall cleanup initiative begins at Ambrel Lake Park September 5

On September 5, the Parks & Trails team is holding a fall cleanup day at Ambrel Lake Park. Volunteers will help clear debris, plant autumn bulbs, and prepare the trails for the winter season. The event runs from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and is open to residents of all ages.

Join us near the boardwalk and picnic shelter to rake leaves, pull weeds, and clear pathways. The City will provide all necessary tools, gloves, refreshments, and take-home plants. Whether you have years of gardening experience or just want to lend a hand, your time is welcome.

"Fall is the best time to give our green spaces a fresh start," says Maya Chen-Watson, Parks Planner. "This initiative is a great way for neighbours to connect while making sure Ambrel Lake Park is ready for the colder months ahead."

Please register in advance so we can plan for enough tools and snacks. The cleanup work will affect the splash pad area and the north loop trail. During the event, please use the main parking lot and follow the temporary detour signs. If you cannot volunteer but want to report a park maintenance issue or learn about other green projects, our team is ready to help.
