The Eastfield Twin Arenas, located at 620 Eastfield Road, will close on Monday, January 20, 2024, for essential resurfacing work on both ice pads. The closure is expected to last approximately two weeks, with the facility scheduled to reopen in early February.
During the closure, the two ice surfaces will be unavailable for public skating, league play, and seasonal ball hockey. The City asks that all current bookings for those dates be cancelled or transferred to other city rinks. We apologize for any inconvenience this necessary maintenance may cause.
Residents looking for alternative ice time can visit the Westbrook Community Arena or the Northgate Aquatic Centre, both of which will remain open as usual. Bookings for these facilities can be made online or by calling the arena desk directly.
"We are making these upgrades now so we can keep our facilities safe and in great shape for the community all year round," said Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. "Taking the time for resurfacing ensures a high-quality ice surface for everyone who uses it."
