Wrenford Council approved the site and funding for the new East Wrenford Emergency Services Campus on May 8, 2024. Located at 1200 Concession 4 Road, the new facility will bring fire and paramedic crews together under one roof and replace the aging Fire Station 3 and Fire Station 4 buildings.
The 2.5-hectare site sits just north of the East Wrenford Waste Management Facility. The campus design includes bays for four fire engines, two ambulances, a training hall, an equipment maintenance shop, and staff workrooms. Construction is scheduled to begin this fall, with an opening target of spring 2026. The City will also work with the Tamsin Valley Conservation Authority to ensure the build respects the nearby Corvid Creek Ravine.
"Investing in our emergency services means investing in the safety of every neighbourhood," said Mayor Danielle Okafor-Price. "This campus will give our firefighters and paramedics the modern tools they need to keep Wrenford safe, while also creating local jobs during construction."
Residents living near the site should expect increased heavy vehicle movement on Concession 4 Road during the construction phase. The City will work with contractors to minimize traffic disruptions and keep sidewalks clear. If you have questions about construction noise or parking, you can reach the Project Management team through the Service Alerts page.
More information about the project, including the site plan, environmental review, and upcoming tender dates, is available on the Fire Rescue and Planning & Development pages.
