The City of Wrenford is now accepting nominations for the 2025 Heritage Awards. Residents, community groups, and property owners can submit their recommendations through the Arts & Heritage section of our website until November 15, 2024.
The annual awards recognize outstanding contributions to preserving and celebrating Wrenford's history and culture. Nominations are welcome in three categories: Heritage Conservation for the restoration or rehabilitation of historic buildings and structures; Living Heritage for projects that highlight community traditions or support reconciliation; and Education and Awareness for exhibits, publications, or community programs that share local history.
Mayor Danielle Okafor-Price says, "Wrenford's heritage is what makes our city unique. Whether it's a carefully restored mill, a community storytelling project, or a school program about our past, these awards celebrate the people who keep our history alive for the next generation."
To nominate a project or person, visit the Arts & Heritage page and click the nomination form link. You will need to provide a brief description of the nomination, explain why it meets the category criteria, and include any supporting photos or documents. All applications must be submitted online by 11:59 p.m. on November 15. If you need help with the form, email the Arts & Heritage team at [email protected].
The Heritage Development Board will review all submissions over the winter, and winners will be announced at a public ceremony in the spring. Learn more about the award criteria, past winners, and the full nomination guidelines on the View heritage awards recipients page.
