The City of Wrenford is thrilled to announce the "Wrenford Under the Stars" summer concert series at Centennial Gardens. Starting in August, the free outdoor events will bring together local musicians, family-friendly performances, and community spirit right in the heart of downtown.
Centennial Gardens hosts summer concert series under the stars
The series kicks off on August 10 and runs again on August 24. Each day features two shows on the garden's main lawn, with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. for the 6:00 p.m. evening concert. The August 10 lineup will open with the acoustic folk sounds of Mill Street Folk, followed by the upbeat jazz rhythms of the River City Strings. On August 24, the Tamsin Echoes will take the stage first, closing the night with the high-energy percussion of the Ambrel Lake Band.
You are encouraged to bring blankets, low chairs, and a picnic to enjoy on the lawn. There will be no formal seating, so arriving early will help you claim your spot. Local food trucks will be on site offering a variety of meals and snacks, and you can purchase beverages while you listen. The events will take place rain or shine.
"We are so excited to bring 'Wrenford Under the Stars' to Centennial Gardens," said Rosa Castellano, Events Coordinator. "It is a wonderful way for neighbours to gather, enjoy live music, and celebrate the beauty of our downtown green space."
The series is free and open to the public, but you will need to register to help us plan for security and sanitation. Registration opens on the City's Event Calendar page. You can also take advantage of the nearby playground and washrooms at Centennial Gardens.
