The Benchlands Curling Club will open its doors for the 2024–2025 season on Saturday, November 9. Located at 430 Benchlands Drive, Wrenford, ON N4Q 2A6, the club will host league play and offer drop-in curling for the public starting that weekend. The ice surfaces will be ready for regular league matches beginning in November. Drop-in sessions are scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. All ages are welcome to participate. You will need to bring your own broom and wear clean, flat-soled shoes for the ice. A small equipment rental fee applies if you do not have your own stones or brooms.
“We are looking forward to a full season on the ice,” said Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. “Curling is a fantastic way for families and friends to stay active indoors while we get through the colder months. The club also runs a beginner clinic every first Saturday of the month, so you can learn the rules and techniques in a friendly setting.”
