Summer is here, and the splash pad at Ambrel Lake Park is now open for the season. Families living in the Ambrel Lake and surrounding neighbourhoods can visit any day of the week from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. to cool off and play.
The splash pad is a free, open-air feature located on the park grounds near the Ambrel Lake Recreation Centre. It is designed for young children, with low water jets and a soft, non-slip surface. Parents and guardians should supervise children at all times. We also recommend bringing sunscreen and water bottles to stay comfortable on warm days.
Outdoor recreation is a key part of building strong, healthy communities. Well-designed parks and playgrounds help families enjoy the neighbourhoods where they live. If you are looking for information on family housing, rental options, or how the City plans for future community spaces, visit our Housing page. You can also read about our long-term goals for neighbourhood development in the Wrenford Housing Strategy 2025–2030.
Transit Route 4 runs past the park, making it easy to reach without a car. Check the Wrenford Transit website for schedules.
Recreation and community spaces are essential for family wellbeing in our neighbourhoods," says Fiona Gallagher, general manager of community services. "We are glad the splash pad is open and ready for families to enjoy this summer."
