Lights at the Falls is a beloved Wrenford tradition that transforms the downtown core into a winter wonderland. Starting late November, the display has drawn crowds to Fallsview Road and the banks of the Tamsin River. We are pleased to announce that the lights will remain on through New Year's Day, extending the celebration by one full week.
Visitors can still enjoy the illuminated arches, the family-friendly light tunnel near Centennial Gardens, and the interactive projection on the side of the Old Mill Museum. The display is free to view day and night, and it is best seen after dark when the Tamsin River reflects the colours across the water.
Parking is available in the Centennial Gardens lot and on surrounding streets. Please follow the posted signs and remember the overnight parking ban runs from December 1 to March 31, 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. Street sweepers will also be in the downtown area next week, so please move your vehicles as directed.
"Adding extra nights gives families more time to visit without the usual holiday rush," says City Manager Robert Eng. "It is a wonderful way to celebrate the season and support our local businesses along Mercer Street."
Residents who want to help keep the display bright can volunteer for the evening cleanup crew on December 30. Drop by City Hall to sign up, or call 519-555-0100 for more information.
Lights at the Falls is part of the city's seasonal programming, managed by the Arts & Heritage team. Thank you for making Fallsview the most festive place in Southwestern Ontario this time of year.
