The City of Wrenford is reminding residents of the adjusted hours for the East Wrenford Waste Management Facility during the December holiday season. The facility will close for the Christmas and New Year holidays, and residents should plan their visits accordingly.
The drop-off depot will close at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 21, 2023. The facility will remain closed from Friday, December 22, through Monday, January 1, 2024. Regular hours will resume on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, with the facility open Monday to Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
During the closure, curbside collection of garbage, Blue Box recycling, and Green Bin organics will continue on its regular schedule. However, residents should keep their materials at home until collection day. The Christmas tree curbside pickup service begins the first two weeks of January, so residents can store their trees safely over the break.
"The holiday season is a time for families and friends, and we want to make sure our waste management staff can enjoy the time off too," says Ben Achterberg, Waste Programs Supervisor. "We appreciate residents planning ahead and keeping their waste inside over the holidays."
