Why report a transit disruption?
Wrenford Transit aims to keep your commute smooth and reliable. Sometimes, unexpected delays, missed stops, or mechanical issues happen. When you report a disruption, you help our dispatch team fix the problem faster and keep other riders informed through the Wrenford Transit app and digital route maps.
How to report a disruption
You can submit a report using any of the methods below. Please include the route number, direction, time of the incident, and a brief description of what happened.
- Online or via the app: Use the Wrenford 311 Service Request Tracking Portal. Select the transit category and fill out the form. This is the fastest way to get a reference number for your report.
- By phone: Call the Transit Operations Desk at 519-555-0148 during business hours (Monday to Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.). For after-hours mechanical issues, call 519-555-0111.
- In person: Visit the Transit Customer Service counter at Downtown Transit Terminal. Staff can help you file a report and answer questions about rerouted buses.
What happens after you report it
Once your report is submitted, our transit dispatch team reviews it immediately. They cross-reference your details with our GPS tracking system and radio logs. Depending on the issue, they will:
- Send a backup bus to cover a missed stop or make up lost time.
- Dispatch a mechanic to a stranded vehicle.
- Update the Wrenford Transit app and digital route signs with a delay notice.
- Open an investigation if the report involves a safety incident or driver conduct.
You will receive an email or app notification confirming receipt of your report. If your issue requires further action, a transit coordinator will contact you within two business days.
Frequently asked questions
How long does it take to fix a reported delay?
For route adjustments and backup bus dispatches, our team typically resolves the issue within 30 minutes. Mechanical breakdowns may take longer, as a tow truck and replacement bus must arrive on site.
Can I get a refund if I miss work because of a transit disruption?
Wrenford Transit does not issue refunds for missed trips due to operational disruptions. We recommend allowing extra travel time during peak construction periods or severe weather. If you are a Wrenford Access customer and experience a missed appointment, contact our specialized transit desk directly.
What if I see a safety issue or a driver behaving poorly?
Report safety incidents immediately by calling 911. For non-emergency concerns about driver conduct or vehicle cleanliness, use the online form or call the Transit Operations Desk. Our Transit Manager, Daniel Osei, oversees all staff conduct and safety training.
Why isn't the Wrenford Transit app showing my bus location?
Real-time GPS tracking can experience brief gaps when buses pass through heavy traffic, tunnels, or areas with poor cell service. The app usually refreshes within five minutes. If the tracking icon stays stuck, report it as a disruption so our IT and transit teams can investigate.
