Requesting a New or Replacement Waste Cart

If your garbage cart is lost, stolen, or damaged beyond repair, you can request a replacement. You can also order a new cart if you need an additional bin for your household. Please note that the City provides one standard black cart per household as part of your regular waste collection service.

How to Place a Request

You can submit your request through any of the following methods:

  • Online: Visit the Request a new or replacement waste cart page to fill out the form. You will need your property address and service account number.
  • Phone: Call Wrenford 311 at 519-555-0131. Our operators are available Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • In Person: Visit the City Services Centre at 100 Main Street, Wrenford.

Fees and Eligibility

One replacement cart per household is provided free of charge every five years. If you need a replacement sooner, or if you require an additional cart, a fee will apply. Current fees are listed on the Garbage and recycling collection schedule page under the "Services" section. Payment can be made by credit card, debit, or cheque at the time of your request.

Delivery and Installation

Once your request is processed, a new cart will be delivered to your curb within 5 to 7 business days. Please ensure the cart is placed at your curb on the morning of the scheduled delivery for your area. If you are not home, the driver will leave the cart in a safe, visible location near your property line.

Important Reminders

  • Ensure your current cart is empty before the replacement arrives.
  • Check that the new cart is intact before signing for it.
  • If your cart was stolen, consider filing a report with the Wrenford Police Service.
