Come out and enjoy a winter day on the ice at Fallsview Sports Field. This free community skating session is open to all ages, so bring the whole family and neighbours. The field is located along the river, giving you a nice view of the water and the surrounding area. Benches are set up around the rink if you need a place to rest your skates or take a break in the cold air.
You will need your own ice skates and warm winter clothing, including gloves or mitts and a hat. Helmet use is highly recommended for children and beginners. Since registration is not required, just show up on the day between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. on December 5, 2026. The ice is maintained by the City's winter maintenance crew, but please skate responsibly and watch for other skaters.
The venue is accessible to visitors using mobility aids, as the surrounding paths are cleared and the field is flat. If you require assistance or have specific accessibility needs, please contact us in advance.
After skating, take a walk along the adjacent walking trail to stretch your legs and enjoy the crisp winter air. The trail is open to all users, so please yield to pedestrians. We look forward to seeing you out on the ice.
