Venue: Orchard Park Off-Leash Area

Audience: Adults and teens

Are you looking to capture the beauty of Wrenford's winter landscapes? Join us for a guided photography walk through the trails of Orchard Park Off-Leash Area. This free event is designed for adults and teens who want to improve their skills in nature photography, regardless of your experience level.

During the walk, you will learn tips and tricks for shooting in winter conditions. We will discuss how to handle low light, capture moving subjects like wildlife, and protect your equipment in the cold. You will also have plenty of time to practice on your own and get feedback from the group. The off-leash area offers a mix of open spaces and wooded paths, providing great variety for your photos.

What to bring:

  • Your camera (DSLR, mirrorless, or a smartphone with a good lens).
  • A tripod (optional but helpful for long exposures).
  • Warm clothing, including gloves and a hat.
  • A thermos with a hot drink.
  • Snacks.

Please note that the walk will take place on natural trails. Wear sturdy, waterproof footwear and dress in layers. If conditions are too icy or unsafe, the event may be cancelled or moved indoors. Check the Service Alerts page for updates.

Registration is required so we can plan for the group size. Sign up through the City's online registration system or call Recreation & Culture at 519-555-0100.

This event is organized by the Arts & Heritage department in partnership with the Parks & Trails team.
