Join the Teen Coding Club for a hands-on session on game design basics. This program is designed for teens aged 13 to 17 who want to explore how video games are created. You do not need any prior coding experience to participate.
During the workshop, you will learn how to plan and sketch out your own video games. We will cover the basics of building a storyline, designing characters, and setting game rules. You will work through simple exercises that turn your ideas into a playable concept. All materials are provided, and you can bring your own laptop or tablet if you prefer. We also have a few devices available for use.
Registration is required because seating is limited. You can sign up online through the Programs page or call the Northgate Branch directly. If you need an accommodation to participate, please let the staff know when you register.
The Wrenford Public Library — Northgate Branch is fully accessible with a ramp entrance, wide doorways, and accessible washrooms. If you require additional support, ask the front desk for help.
Bring your curiosity and a willingness to try new things. Whether you want to make a puzzle game, a racing game, or an adventure game, this club is a great place to start. See you there!
