The Storytime and Sensory Play for Toddlers program offered a relaxed morning for little ones and their caregivers at the Wrenford Public Library — Main Branch. This free, drop-in session ran for 45 minutes and focused on early language development through books, songs, and hands-on activities.
During the event, children explored age-appropriate sensory bins, soft blocks, and textured books. Caregivers joined in to sing familiar tunes and encourage fine motor skills. The program was led by library staff who guided the group through a short storytime and open play period. You did not need to register in advance. Simply arrive during the scheduled time and take a seat in the children’s area.
The Main Branch is fully accessible. An elevator provides access from the street level, and the children’s area features wide pathways and washrooms nearby. The branch is open Monday to Thursday, 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.; Friday and Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Sunday 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. If you needed a quiet corner for a child who becomes overstimulated, or assistance with a stroller, a staff member was on hand to help. The Wrenford Public Library Board runs this program, and all visitors are welcome to participate.
Please remember that the library is a shared community space. Caregivers were asked to supervise their children at all times and keep voices at a conversational level so other visitors could read and study in peace.
