Join us on Saturday, April 10, 2027, to turn on the water and celebrate the start of the splash pad season. This free morning event is designed for families and children who want to enjoy the outdoors before the busy summer months begin.
At the Eastfield Splash Pad, you will find live music from local youth groups, face painting, and water-based games for kids of all ages. Staff from the Recreation & Culture department will be on hand to answer questions about summer registration and to hand out free swim tickets. You can also meet the Tamsin River Trail ambassadors and learn about safe play in the sun.
What to bring
Bring your swimsuit, towel, and a hat or sunscreen. Water shoes are recommended for comfort. Please note that the splash pad area is paved and fully accessible for wheelchairs and strollers. Accessible washrooms are located inside the nearby Eastfield Twin Arenas, which is a short walk away.
Refreshments will be available for purchase from a local food truck. If you prefer to bring your own snacks, picnic tables are located along the shaded perimeter of the pad.
No registration required
This is a drop-in community event. You do not need to sign up in advance. Simply arrive between 10:00 a.m. and noon on the day of the event. We look forward to seeing you there as we get ready for the rest of the summer season.
