Take a step towards better health with the Spring Fitness Walk: Tamsin River Trail. This free, guided walk takes place on Saturday, April 24, 2027, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Stonebridge Park. Whether you are looking to build stamina, enjoy the fresh spring air, or simply get outside, this event is a great way to start the season.

The Tamsin River Trail System offers 64 kilometres of paved and packed-gravel paths, making it perfect for walkers of all paces. Our route will cover a gentle loop starting and ending at the park, with plenty of time to stop for photos and stretch. You can choose your own pace, walk with a friend, or come solo. Strollers and wheelchairs are welcome on the main paved sections, though some natural areas may be uneven.

What to bring

  • Comfortable walking shoes or trainers
  • A reusable water bottle
  • Layers for the weather, as spring mornings can be chilly
  • Your favourite walking buddy

Registration

No registration is required. Just show up at the park entrance by 8:50 a.m. to meet your guide. If you have questions about the route or need assistance, call 311 or visit the Parks & Trails page for more information on our local paths.
