Get your hands dirty and help keep the Tamsin River corridor clean this spring. On April 10, 2027, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the City is hosting a community clean-up and native tree planting day at the Fallsview Riverside Shelter. This free event welcomes families, neighbours, and volunteers of all ages.

Work in small teams across the designated areas. Our Parks & Trails staff will show you where to collect litter, how to safely plant young trees, and where to drop off collected debris. We will provide heavy-duty gloves, reusable grabbers, biodegradable bags, and saplings. Just bring sturdy shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, and a reusable water bottle.

Registration is required because we need to plan for equipment and refreshments. Call 519-555-0100 to reserve your spot. Registration opens on March 10, 2027, and spaces are limited.

The Fallsview Riverside Shelter and the adjacent trail sections are accessible. If you need specific accessibility accommodations, such as a wheelchair-accessible route or interpreter services, please let us know when you register. We will work with you to ensure you can participate fully.

Light refreshments will be provided after the event. Bring your friends and neighbours, and enjoy a morning of outdoor activity while giving back to our local waterway. For more information on how the City maintains our river trails, see our Parks & Trails page.
