Join us on Thursday, December 10, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. for the Senior Holiday Craft Workshop. This session is designed for older adults who enjoy making seasonal decorations and greeting cards. You will learn simple techniques to create festive ornaments and gift tags that are perfect for the holiday season.
The workshop takes place at the Kingfisher Park Shelter, located at 35 Kingfisher Court in the Kingfisher neighbourhood. The shelter is accessible and has washrooms on site. Free parking is available in the lot next to the building.
The cost is $5.00 per person. This fee covers all craft supplies, including paper, ribbons, glue, and decorative items. You do not need to bring anything, but you are welcome to bring your own favourite scissors or special embellishments if you prefer.
Registration is required. Spaces are limited, so please sign up in advance. You can register online through the City’s recreation portal or by calling 311. If you need help registering, a staff member can assist you over the phone. Please register by December 8 to secure your spot.
We will provide light refreshments, including tea, coffee, and cookies. This is a great chance to meet neighbours, share holiday stories, and enjoy a relaxing afternoon. If you have any dietary restrictions or accessibility needs, please let us know when you register so we can make arrangements.
