This past workshop helped older adults feel more confident using smartphones, tablets, and computers. Whether you need help setting up email, avoiding online scams, or booking a bus ride with Wrenford Access, this session was for you. The workshop was held at the Meadowlark Family Centre in the Meadowlark neighbourhood.
No experience or special equipment was required. Staff and volunteers from the City's digital literacy program walked through step-by-step guides. You could bring your own device if you have one, or borrow a tablet from the centre. The room is wheelchair accessible, and seating is arranged to allow plenty of space.
Registration was required so we could prepare enough materials and devices for everyone. You can still sign up for our upcoming sessions through the Recreation & Culture programs page or by calling 519-555-0100. If you need a wheelchair-accessible seat or a large-print handout, please mention it when you register.
We hope you found the session useful. Check the event calendar for more free workshops on online safety, video calling your grandkids, and using the library app.
