The holidays are over, and Tamarack South Park needs a little help getting ready for winter. Join us for a Post-Holiday Cleanup Volunteer Day on December 5, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This event is open to you if you are 18 or older and want to give back to your neighbourhood.

The work includes clearing fallen leaves, picking up litter, and tidying up the walking paths. You do not need to bring any heavy tools. The City will supply trash bags, leaf bags, and grabbers. Just dress warmly for the weather, wear sturdy boots, and bring a reusable water bottle. Gloves are available at the registration table, but you are welcome to bring your own.

This is a relaxed, hands-on morning. You can work in small groups and take breaks as needed. The gathering point will be at the main entrance near the playground. Please note that while the main paths are paved, some side trails may have uneven surfaces or ice. If you use a mobility aid, let the staff know when you register so they can point you to the most accessible route.

Registration is required because we have a limited number of supplies and volunteer spots. Sign up early to secure your place. If you have questions or need to make changes, contact the Recreation & Culture team at 519-555-0100 or email [email protected].
