Take a break from the winter chill and meet up with fellow readers at the Memory Lane Book Club: Winter Reads. This monthly gathering is designed for older adults who enjoy sharing stories, swapping ideas, and making new friends over a good book.
During this January session, we will be discussing a collection of short stories set in snowy landscapes. You do not need to finish the book beforehand to enjoy the conversation. Copies will be available at the front desk if you would like to read along, but you are welcome to drop in and listen anyway.
Light refreshments, including tea and coffee, will be provided. The club meets at the Northgate Branch in a quiet, comfortable room. The space is fully wheelchair accessible and features a hearing loop for those who use assistive listening devices. If you need help getting to the library, you can check out the Accessibility page for more information on transit and parking options.
You can just show up at 2:00 p.m. on January 28, 2027. No registration is required. Bring your favourite winter blanket and a warm drink if you prefer. We look forward to seeing you there for an afternoon of conversation and community.
