Local History Talk: Winter in Wrenford

Discover how the cold season has shaped Wrenford from the very beginning. This free talk covers winters in the city, from the first grist mill at the falls in 1834 to the ice days today. You'll learn how the Tamsin River and the falls looked when they froze, and how the early mills kept running through the snow.

Residents have always adapted to the cold. Hear stories about how the community handled heavy snow, ice on the streets, and the long winter nights. You'll also hear about how Wrenford's traditions grew from these early challenges and how the city celebrates the season now.

No registration is required. You do not need to sign up in advance. Just drop in anytime between 7:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. The event is open to adults. Bring a friend or come on your own.
