Join your neighbours for the Light and Sound: Winter Solstice Concert on Saturday, December 19, 2026. This free outdoor concert takes place from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Westbrook Ball Diamond, located at 220 Lachance Street. Local musicians will fill the evening with live performances to celebrate the shortest day of the year.
You do not need to register or pay a fee to attend. Just bring a warm coat, a blanket, or a folding chair. There will be a water fountain on site, but no food or beverage sales are available at this event. Consider packing a thermos of hot chocolate to enjoy while you listen.
The ball diamond is accessible and features paved access routes, bleachers, and an open field area where you can set up your spot. If you require specific seating arrangements or need assistance getting to the viewing area, please contact the Events Coordinator at 519-555-0100 or email [email protected] ahead of the concert. The City will also have a small information tent near the main entrance for help and directions.
This event is designed for all ages. Families, seniors, and youth are all welcome. Keep an eye on the weather forecast on the day of the concert; the event will run rain or shine, but will be cancelled only in the case of severe storms or extreme wind chill.
