Join us at the Ambrel Lake Branch for a hands-on session where kids ages 8 to 12 can design their very own video game character. In this free workshop, young coders will explore basic design principles, colour theory, and simple coding concepts using age-friendly tools.

Whether your child is brand new to coding or has dabbled in game creation before, this session offers a supportive space to experiment and share ideas. Laptops and tablets will be provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own devices if they prefer. No prior experience is necessary.

When: Saturday, January 16, 2027, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Where: 1300 Ambrel Lake Road.

Space is limited, so registration is required. Sign up early to secure a spot. The library is fully accessible, and the program room is on the ground floor with wide doorways. If you need accommodations or assistive listening devices, please let us know when you register.

This program is made possible through the Wrenford Public Library Board.
