Step outside in your mind and bring your creativity indoors at the Indoor Winter Hike and Nature Art Workshop. This session is made for seniors and their caregivers who want to stay active and connected during the colder months. We will start with a guided virtual walk through the Tamsin River Trail System, sharing stories of the winter landscape and local wildlife. You will learn simple exercises you can do from your chair to keep your joints moving and your spirits high.

After the walk, you will head to the art corner. Using recycled materials, pressed leaves, and winter-themed supplies, you will create a small nature collage to take home. No art experience is needed. Everything you need is provided.

This program is held at the Ambrel Lake Community Centre. The building has an accessible entrance, wide hallways, and washrooms on the main floor. If you use a walker or wheelchair, please let us know when you register so we can reserve a front-row seat.

Space is limited, so you must register in advance. You can sign up online through the registration page, or call the Ambrel Lake Recreation Centre at 519-555-0124. The cost is $5 per person. You can pay online or bring cash or cheque to the front desk.

Wear comfortable clothes and bring a reusable water bottle. We will have light refreshments available. If you need help booking a Wrenford Access ride, call the Downtown Transit Terminal at 519-555-0114 at least two days before the event.

We look forward to seeing you there for a morning of movement, conversation, and making something beautiful together.
