Join us on Sunday, September 20, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. for a guided walk along the Tamsin River Trail. Led by Parks Planner Maya Chen-Watson, this free activity explores the natural ecology that thrives along our river corridor. You will learn about native plant species, local wildlife habitats, and how the trail system supports biodiversity through the seasons.

We will meet at Riverside Flats Park (25 Water Street). The route covers roughly 3 kilometres at a gentle pace, with stops to observe bird life, wetland plants, and riverbank features. The trail includes both paved sections and natural gravel paths. The first half of the walk is wheelchair accessible; the second half involves gentle slopes and uneven terrain.

Registration is required. Spaces are limited to 20 participants. Sign up online through the Recreation & Culture section or call 519-555-0100 to reserve your spot. Please register by September 18, 2026.

Bring a reusable water bottle, comfortable walking shoes, and weather-appropriate clothing. The walk will proceed in light rain but will be cancelled in severe weather. For questions, contact Recreation Programs Coordinator Caroline Dubé at [email protected].
