Explore the quiet beauty of Wrenford's natural areas in winter. This free guided nature walk takes you through the frosty trails around Hollis Creek to learn how plants, animals, and insects survive the cold months. A trained naturalist will share tips on spotting tracks, identifying winter bird calls, and understanding how trees prepare for spring.

Registration is required because we need to know how many people are joining. Please sign up online or call Wrenford 311 at 311 inside city limits, or 519-555-0100 from outside the city. Walk-ins are welcome if space allows, but spots fill quickly.

The meeting point is the Hollis Creek Picnic Shelter. Look for the Wrenford Parks & Trails volunteer wearing a green vest. The walk lasts about two hours. Afterward, you can visit nearby parks or head home with a warmer appreciation for the Tamsin Valley ecosystem.

Wear warm, waterproof boots and dress in layers. The route is flat and well-marked, but please bring a walking stick if you need extra support. Strollers are not recommended on the trail.

Bring a thermos of hot drink and a reusable water bottle. We will not provide food or drinks on the trail. If you have accessibility needs or require assistance, please note them when you register so we can make arrangements.

Check the weather forecast before you go. The walk runs rain or snow. If the city issues a severe weather alert, the event will be cancelled. You will receive a text message or email with updates.

We hope to see you out on the trail!
