Get ready to explore the quiet trails of Tamarack Woods on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. This free guided nature walk is designed for all ages and welcomes beginners and experienced bird watchers alike. You will learn how to spot and identify the most common birds that stay in our area during the colder months, along with simple techniques for listening to their calls and tracking their movements in the snow.

Because you will be walking on natural terrain that may include snow, ice, or mud, please wear sturdy, waterproof footwear and dress in warm layers. Binoculars are available to borrow at the trailhead, but you are welcome to bring your own. This walk is fully accessible for wheelchairs and strollers on the main loop, though a brief section near the creek may require assistance. If you need accommodations or have questions before the event, contact the Community team at [email protected].

Registration is required so we can plan for the right number of guides and safety monitors. Sign up online or call 519-555-0100 to reserve your spot. Spaces are limited, so register early to avoid missing out. We will meet at the Tamarack Woods Trailhead and follow the marked route through the trees. Bring a smile, your curiosity, and a thermos of hot cocoa to share with new friends. We look forward to seeing you out in the cold!
