Spring is waking up in Wrenford, and the Stonebridge Off-Leash Area is a wonderful spot to spot the first blooms of the season. Join Parks Planner Maya Chen-Watson for a gentle, guided walk through the neighbourhood trails. You'll learn which wildflowers are starting to appear, what they need to grow, and how to identify the ones that are native to our area.
This event is perfect for families. It's designed for all ages, and kids are welcome to bring a small notebook or a magnifying glass to get a closer look. The walk is relaxed, so you can stop and ask questions whenever you like.
The trail is easy walking, but the ground can be soft in spring. Please wear comfortable footwear with good grip. Strollers and wheelchairs can use the main path.
Meet at the fenced enclosure at 100 Achterberg Street. We will start at 10:00 a.m. and finish around 11:30 a.m. The walk is free, but space is limited. You must register in advance. Register online at the Programs page, or call 519-555-0100 to book your spot.
