Get ready to explore the outdoors with us! On March 20, 2027, we are hosting a guided nature walk focused on early spring flora. This free event is perfect for families and nature enthusiasts who want to learn about the plants waking up from winter.

Meet at the trailhead at Orchard Park Park (1150 Orchard Park Road). Our park naturalist will lead the group along the path, pointing out early bloomers like trout lily and red trillium. You will learn how to identify common spring wildflowers and understand why they grow where they do. The walk covers about one kilometre at a gentle pace.

Dress in layers and wear sturdy, waterproof shoes, as the ground may be damp. We recommend bringing a notebook to jot down plant names and a reusable water bottle. Children of all ages are welcome, and younger walkers are encouraged to bring a magnifying glass if they have one. Strollers are not recommended on the natural surface.

Registration is required so we can plan for the group size. Spaces are limited, so please sign up online through Wrenford 311 or call 519-555-0100. If you need an accommodation to participate, please let us know when you register.

Please note that if severe weather is forecast, the walk may be cancelled. We will post updates on the Service Alerts page.
