Join us for a guided autumn history walk through the Railside Park neighbourhood. On Monday, November 9, 2026, we will meet at Railside Park to explore the stories behind our local streets and parks. The trail is paved and flat, making it a comfortable pace for seniors with moderate mobility. You will hear about how the Railside area grew around the railway line and the old mill sites along Corvid Creek.

The walk will take about an hour and a half. Our guide will stop at several benches along the route so you can rest and enjoy the fall colours. We recommend dressing in layers, as mornings can be crisp in November. Please bring a bottle of water and your walking shoes. If you need a cane or a walker, feel free to bring it along.

Registration is required so we know how many people to expect. Sign up online or call the Seniors programs coordinator at 519-555-0100 by Friday, November 6. Space is limited to keep the group small and manageable.

This event is free and open to all seniors. If you have questions about accessibility or need assistance getting to the park, please let us know when you register. We will do our best to help you join safely.
