Bring the whole family to Hollis Park Ball Diamond for an evening of ice skating and winter games. This free event is perfect for families with children who want to enjoy the outdoors during the cold months. We will set up a temporary rink on the field and provide some basic skating aids for beginners. You can bring your own skates or use the rental pairs available on site.
After skating, join us for winter games and activities. There will be snowball toss, tug-of-war, and a family relay race. All equipment is provided, but you should dress warmly in layers, with warm hats, gloves, and waterproof boots. Hot chocolate will be available for purchase on site.
The event is free and does not require registration. Just show up when you are ready. The field is flat and accessible for strollers and wheelchairs, though the ice surface itself is for skaters only. Washrooms are located at the Westbrook Community Arena.
If the weather is too severe, the event will be moved indoors to Westbrook Community Arena. We will post updates on our Service Alerts page if there are any changes.
Come out for an evening of fun, exercise, and community spirit. We look forward to seeing you on the ice!
