Get ready to carve something amazing at the Family Day Weekend Ice Sculpture Contest! On Saturday, February 13, 2027, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., we will take over Fallsview Sports Field for a day of freezing fun and local talent. This event is open to all ages and skill levels, so bring the whole family.
Here is how it works: teams or individuals will register on-site to compete in the main carving category. You will need to bring your own ice blocks, tools, and safety gear. The City will provide water and basic carving equipment for first-time participants. Whether you are an experienced sculptor or just want to try something new, you are welcome to join in.
While you work, stay warm with free hot chocolate from our volunteers. There will be live music from local artists and a kids' carving corner where little ones can practice their skills with soft ice and plastic tools. Prizes will be awarded for creativity, technique, and best use of ice.
The field is fully accessible, with paved pathways and accessible washrooms nearby. If you need special accommodations, please call Wrenford 311 at 519-555-0100 ahead of the event. No pre-registration is required—just show up on the day and find your spot.
