Join us for a hands-on family craft workshop where you will build and decorate your own birdhouses from upcycled materials. This program is designed for families with school-age children who enjoy getting creative and helping local wildlife.

You will need to register in advance. Registration opens on the first Monday of March. You can sign up online through the Wrenford Public Library website or by calling 519-555-0131. Spaces are limited, so register early. The cost is $10.00 per person. All materials, including paint, brushes, and recycled wood, will be provided.

The workshop takes place at the Northgate Branch. The library is fully accessible with a wheelchair-accessible entrance and washrooms on site. If you need an accommodation for a disability, please let the staff know when you register so we can make sure you have a comfortable experience.

  • A brief introduction to the birds that visit Wrenford and why birdhouses are helpful.
  • Step-by-step guidance on assembling your birdhouse using safe, non-toxic materials.
  • Time to paint and decorate your creation.
  • Tips on where to hang your birdhouse outside for the best chance of attracting nesting birds.

Please arrive ten minutes early to find parking and settle in. The library does not provide stroller parking, so please plan accordingly. If you have questions about the program, contact the library at 519-555-0131.
