The holiday season brings lots of gifts, meals, and travel, but it can also stretch your budget. Join us on December 5, 2026, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for a Family Budgeting Workshop: Holiday Spending. This free session is designed for families who want to set realistic spending goals for the holidays without missing out on the fun.

You will learn simple ways to track holiday expenses, find affordable gift ideas, and talk about money with kids in an age-appropriate way. Our facilitator will share practical tips on creating a holiday budget that works for your household. Whether you are buying presents, hosting a dinner, or saving for family trips, this workshop will give you the tools to plan with confidence.

Please bring a notebook, a pen, and any budgeting apps or spreadsheets you already use. You do not need to bring bank statements or sensitive financial information. The session is interactive, so feel free to ask questions and share your own money-saving ideas.

Registration is required so we can reserve seating and provide refreshments. Register online or call the library at 519-555-0131. The workshop is held at the Wrenford Public Library — Northgate Branch. The branch has an accessible entrance and wheelchair-accessible washrooms. If you need accommodations to participate, please let us know when you register.

This event is part of our Family & Kids programming. We run similar workshops throughout the year, so check the calendar for more opportunities to build your money skills.
