You are welcome to join us for a Fall Guided Nature Walk at Ambrel Lake. This event is designed for adults and seniors who want to enjoy the season outdoors.
On Sunday, September 20, 2026, we will meet at the Ambrel Lake Community Hall. Our Parks Planner, Maya Chen-Watson, will lead the group on a gentle, 1.5-kilometre loop around the lake. The walk takes about an hour and a half and includes stops to talk about local plants, birds, and the history of the area. For more information about the trails, see Ambrel Lake Park.
The trail surface is packed gravel and boardwalk. The pace is slow, with frequent rests at benches. This walk is suitable for people who use a walker or a cane. Wheelchairs can use the paved paths near the hall, but the boardwalk section has a ramp. Please let us know if you need accommodation when you register.
Bring a jacket, comfortable shoes, and a water bottle. Binoculars are available to borrow if you want to spot birds. The walk will go ahead in light rain. We will cancel if there is heavy rain or strong winds.
Registration is required. Space is limited to 15 participants. You can register online or call 519-555-0124 to book your spot. Please register by September 18.
Free admission.
