Join us for an autumn nature walk focused on bird migration. On Saturday, November 14, 2026, we will meet at Benchlands Park at 9:30 a.m. and walk until 11:30 a.m. This free program is open to all nature enthusiasts. You will learn what to look for in the trees and along the trails as birds head south for the winter. Bring a pair of binoculars and a warm jacket. The trail is paved in sections but has some gravel and uneven ground, so wear sturdy shoes. Registration is required so we know how many people to expect. You can register online or call City Services at 519-555-0100. We will cover about two kilometres at a relaxed pace. Stop times will be built in for spotting and photography. This event is led by a trained naturalist. If you have accessibility needs, let us know when you register so we can make adjustments. Rain or shine, the walk will take place. If conditions are unsafe, we will send a service alert. Bring water and dress in layers. We will end back at the main gathering spot. This is a great chance to see the Tamsin River Valley in autumn and connect with other residents who love the outdoors.
