Join us on Saturday, October 10 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Hollis Park Off-Leash Area for a morning of community service. We are looking for volunteers to help rake autumn leaves and tidy up the surrounding yards and trails. This is a great chance to meet your neighbours and keep our shared spaces looking their best.
Please bring your own gloves and wear sturdy boots or shoes. We will provide heavy-duty bags, rakes, and recycling bins for the leaves. If you have a snowblower or leaf blower, feel free to bring it along to help clear the paths. Light snacks and water will be provided.
Registration is required so we can plan for the right number of tools and volunteers. You can sign up through the Wrenford 311 service or by calling 519-555-0100. Please register by Thursday, October 8.
The event is free and open to all volunteers. The off-leash area has paved walking paths that are wheelchair accessible, but please note that raking and yard cleanup involve light physical activity. If you need accommodations or have questions about the tasks, just mention it when you register.
We will meet at the main entrance at 70 Hollis Park Drive. Look for the City of Wrenford sign and the group wearing orange volunteer vests. Thank you for helping us prepare our parks for the winter season!
