Downtown Parking Zone Map
Welcome to the visual guide for parking in the downtown core. This map helps you understand where you can park, how long you can stay, and what it costs. Whether you are visiting a shop, grabbing lunch, or attending an event, following these rules keeps traffic moving and spaces available for everyone.
Understanding the Zones
The downtown area is divided into specific parking zones. Each zone has its own rules. You will see signs on poles and painted curbs that indicate these changes. Always read the signs carefully, as restrictions can change depending on the time of day or season.
General Rates and Limits
Most on-street parking in the downtown core is metered or managed through the Wrenford 311 app. The standard rate is $2.00 per hour. There is a maximum stay of two hours between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. This ensures turnover so more visitors can access the area.
Evening parking, from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., is generally free on-street unless otherwise posted. Weekends and statutory holidays are free for all on-street parking in the downtown zone, unless a special event is taking place.
Accessible Parking
Spaces marked with the International Symbol of Access are reserved for vehicles displaying a valid disabled person's parking permit. These spaces are located near main entrances and public facilities. Please do not park in these spots without the proper permit. By-law officers actively monitor these areas.
Special Events and Temporary Restrictions
During major events in the downtown core, such as the Summer Festival or Winter Market, some parking zones may be closed or restricted. Temporary signs will be posted in advance. Check the [[Downtown parking | downtown parking page]] for the latest event schedules and any temporary by-laws that apply.
Reporting Issues
If a parking meter is broken or a sign is obscured, please report it. You can call the main line at 519-555-0100 or use the Wrenford 311 service line. This helps us maintain a safe and functional environment for all users.
