Looking to improve your cooking skills while helping your community? The Wrenford Youth Nutrition Guild is for you. We teach young people how to prepare healthy meals and learn about nutrition in a friendly, hands-on setting. Each session ends with you packing fresh food for local shelter residents, so your cooking makes a real difference right away.
The group meets at the Southview Community Hub on Fridays from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., September to June. We welcome youth aged 14 to 24 who want to learn, try new recipes, and work together in the kitchen. There is no experience needed—just bring your curiosity and a willingness to help.
A small annual fee of $10 covers your kitchen apron, recipe book, and basic ingredients for the meals you prepare. You can register by emailing the City's community development office at [email protected]. They will send you a sign-up form and let you know what to bring on your first day.
Whether you want to become a better cook, save money on groceries, or simply give back to your neighbours, this guild is a great place to start. Bring a friend and join us in the kitchen.
