The Southview Heritage Gardeners is a volunteer group dedicated to keeping the Southview Heritage Garden beautiful and productive. Located in Southview (Ward 4), the garden features an herb garden, beehives, benches, and rainwater collection systems. You can join the group to help tend the beds, pull weeds, mulch paths, and keep the space tidy for everyone.
We welcome gardening enthusiasts of all skill levels. Whether you know your way around a trowel or just want to learn, you will find a friendly crew ready to share tips and tools. We also host seasonal planting workshops where you can learn about native species, soil health, and sustainable growing practices for Southwestern Ontario.
The group meets on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to noon, from April through October. You can drop in anytime during the meeting hours, or come prepared to work. Just bring comfortable clothes, gardening gloves, and any tools you prefer to use. All heavy equipment and seeds are provided on site.
Membership costs $15.00 a year. The fee covers garden supplies, workshop materials, and insurance. To join or find out more, contact us through the City's community development office at [email protected]. We look forward to seeing you in the garden!
