The Southview Community Association is a volunteer-run group that brings neighbours together to care for our local green spaces. If you love gardening or have a keen interest in local history, this is a great place to get involved. The group is responsible for maintaining the heritage rose garden in the Southview neighbourhood and organises annual garden tours that showcase the area's horticultural heritage.
You can meet the volunteers on the first Saturday of each month from May through September. Meetings run from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Southview Heritage Garden. There is no cost to attend or participate. Whether you want to help plant new rose bushes, share gardening tips, or learn about the garden's past, everyone is welcome.
To join the team or find out more about upcoming tours, please reach out to the City's community development office at [email protected]. They can connect you with the association's volunteer coordinator and share the latest updates on garden projects and events.
