The Railside Historical Skaters is a volunteer group dedicated to keeping the history of local ice sports alive. If you enjoy the sound of blades on ice or have a passion for how we used to play and skate in Wrenford, this club is for you. We bring history enthusiasts and current skaters together to celebrate the city's winter traditions.
Our meetings are free and open to everyone. We gather at Railside Park to share old photographs, discuss past skating events, and plan our own vintage skating gatherings. Whether you are a seasoned skater or just curious about our city's past, you are welcome to join us. We do not require any special equipment or membership fees to attend our sessions.
You can meet us on Sundays from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., from December through February. We use the open space at Railside Park for our gatherings. If you have old skating gear, historical notes, or just want to say hello, come by and introduce yourself. Our members are happy to chat about everything from early rink designs to famous local tournaments.
To join or learn more, please reach out to the City's community development office at [email protected]. They will connect you with the club coordinator. We look forward to seeing you on the ice.
