The Kingfisher Gardening Society is a volunteer group for seniors who love to grow things. You can join us to maintain our shared community garden plots in the Kingfisher neighbourhood. We work together to plant, water, weed, and harvest throughout the growing season. Our group also runs free seasonal planting workshops where you can learn new gardening techniques, share tips, and meet your neighbours.
Whether you have years of experience or just want to try gardening for the first time, you are welcome. We provide the tools and soil; you bring your enthusiasm. Meetings are held at the Kingfisher Park Shelter. We meet every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., from April through October. There is no cost to join or to attend our workshops.
To get involved or find out more about the society, please contact the City's community development office at [email protected]. We look forward to helping you grow something beautiful in Kingfisher.
