Hollis Creek Bike Builders

Hollis Creek Bike Builders teaches youth aged 7 to 15 how to repair and maintain bicycles using a community tool shed.

Looking for a way to keep your bike running smoothly this spring and summer? Hollis Creek Bike Builders is a volunteer-run group that teaches youth aged 7 to 15 how to repair and maintain their own bicycles. Using a community tool shed, participants learn practical skills like fixing flats, adjusting brakes, and keeping their chains clean. The program is designed to be hands-on and fun, giving young riders the confidence to care for their bikes independently.

Meetings take place at the Hollis Creek Picnic Shelter on the second Sunday of each month from April to October. Each session runs from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. All tools and materials are provided, and the program is completely free. Whether your child is a beginner or an experienced rider, this is a great opportunity to get outdoors, learn new skills, and connect with other young cyclists in the neighbourhood.
