Eastfield Harvesters

A volunteer group that harvests extra produce from local gardens and delivers it to food banks in Wrenford.

Eastfield Harvesters is a volunteer group that brings neighbours together to share the harvest. If you have a garden with more food than you can use, or if you simply want to help your community, this group is for you.

Every Sunday from July to October, volunteers meet at the Eastfield Community Garden. From 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., you can join in picking ripe vegetables and fruits from community plots and private gardens across the area. All harvested produce is sorted, washed, and delivered directly to local food banks and community kitchens.

There is no cost to join or to use the garden plots. You just need a willingness to help out and a few hours of your time. The group provides gloves, baskets, and transport for heavier loads. Whether you are an experienced gardener or just want to learn the basics, you will find a welcome place here.

If you have questions about volunteering or want to donate produce, please reach out to the City's community development office at [email protected].
