The Eastfield Community Gardeners is a volunteer group that brings neighbours together to grow food and flowers. We cultivate shared vegetable and flower beds and organize harvest festivals throughout the season.
If you live in the Eastfield neighbourhood and want to help tend the garden, you are welcome to join. The group meets every Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., from April through October. You do not need any gardening experience. Experienced members will show you how to prepare the soil, plant seeds, and care for the crops.
Membership costs $10 a year. The fee covers seeds, tools, and shared water access. We also host a few harvest festivals where members and neighbours can share the fresh produce. These events are a great way to meet people in the area and enjoy seasonal meals.
